Hey, who's that good lookin' kid?!OK, I guess I have to admit that's me, but I'm not responsible for the hair! And let it be known that no one was injured in the shooting of that photo. So now that you're here you're probably wondering "Wow, who's the genius that designed this site?" Am I right? OK, maybe not exactly in those words, but close, yeah? Not even? Hmmm, and you're sure genius wasn't mentioned?
I have been working as a web designer for more than 8 years now.I started out creating small sites for local businesses and have worked my way up to developing high-end sites for major companies. I take pride in my work and my clients are always happy. I listen to their design needs and develop a design strategy that optimizes technology while staying within budget constraints. ![]() As a graphic designer I have worked mostly on non-profit and educational projects and have experience in the ad agency, book publisher, and printshop environments. My creative versatility and adaptability can be seen by examining my work, which ranges from websites to user interface studies to powerpoint presentations to logos to corporate branding to marketing material, all in a variety of different styles targeting different audiences.I have gained a great deal of knowledge of the graphic world which I bring to the table every time.
I LOVE design.Yes, my heart beats a little faster when I sit inside an Audi Quatro A4 or step into the Guggenheim Museum in New York. My blood flows a little hotter when I see a clean logo or an ergonomic toothbrush. And my soul stirs when I see a simple and powerful theatre set or when I hear a moving musical score. It's all about design. From products to furniture to websites to candy wrappers to freeway signs to book covers to bridges. Communicating ideas through symbols while creating a functional experience. Design to me is the flow of information in its purest form. For more on my design philosophy, click here.
It all started back in 1966 on a small farm in the midwest.Minnesota to be exact. It was during the depression, and all we had were the clothes on our back. Oh, I'm sorry, I'm thinking of someone else. OK, so we didn't live on a farm either. But I did have relatives who owned one and we would visit occasionally. One time I was zapped by an electric fence running around the pig sty, and another time my sister and myself got stuck in the corn silo. Maybe these were early signs that I should stay indoors. And behold, another designer was born! As a child, two of my favorite activities were building things with LEGOs and drawing mazes. Other favorite pastimes included creating haunted houses, playing games, and making up silly songs. Actually, I still make up silly songs. And I still love games. Sadly, haunted house production has declined.
Rounding out my childhood was an interest in magic, a love of music, and a passable skill playing soccer. Get it? Passable. OK, moving on... RESUME
